Three WWE superstars are revealed to be part of the "WWE 2K17" roster at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo, or E3.
First off is WWE Diva Sasha Banks. The former NXT Women's Champion was not included in last year's "WWE 2K" game and did not even make the DLC list, according to Forbes. Banks, real name Mercedes Kaestner-Varnado, will finally make her debut as a video game superstar in "WWE 2K17".
"I'm finally in the game! WWE 2K17 like a boss!" The WWE Diva declared on Twitter.
The appearance of Banks, also known as "The Boss", on the popular video game only proves her massive popularity, Forbes reports. Banks is currently out of the WWE roster due to injury, according to Wrestlezone.
The next WWE Superstar is a no-brainer. The three-time World Heavyweight Champion John Cena will be making his way again to the "WWE 2K17" roster. Cena has appeared in numerous WWE video game titles, debuting in "WWE Wrestlemania XIX" in 2003.
Apart from his stint in the ring, John Cena is also busy with his TV show, "American Grit," where he is both the host and executive producer. He will also be hosting this year's "ESPY Awards" in July, according to ABC News.
The last WWE superstar to be revealed is no other than the late great Ultimate Warrior. The legend, despite appearing in numerous wrestling video games in the past, was included in the "WWE 2K" roster for the first time in 2013, gracing the "WWE 2K14" title as a pre-order bonus.
The WWE Superstar has debuted in the WWE ring (previously WWF) in 1987, and is one of the most memorable characters in professional wrestling history. The Warrior retired in 1998 to pursue a career in public speaking.
Warrior went back into the ring for one last match in 2008, facing WWE Superstar Orlando Jordan for the New Wrestling Evolution title. Warrior has won the match and the title, but relinquished it immediately after.
The Ultimate Warrior died on April 8, 2014, three days after being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
WWE 2K17 will be launched on the Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One in October.
