Apple CEO Tim Cook was spotted in Xidan Joy City retail store of Beijing, China, on Monday. He even posed for photos with customers, according to Sina.com.
Apple fans might wonder why Cook is in Beijing? Although the purpose hasn't been confirmed, the report indicated that he is going to talk with iPhone's carrier partners, such as China Unicom and China Telecom.
This isn't the first time for Cook to visit China. Last June, Cook, then Apple's COO, was seen at China Mobile's headquarters. Currently China Mobile, the world's largest mobile phone carrier, isn't carrying the iPhone.
Carolyn Wu, Apple spokeswoman said Cook had "great meetings" Monday with Chinese government officials in Beijing regarding Apple's plans for increased investment in China, Marketwatch reported.
Cook "had great meetings with Chinese officials today. China is very important to us and we look forward to even greater investment and growth here," Wu said without disclosing further details.
