Atlus' latest Vanillaware HD remaster "Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir", was just released this week, and for people who have played the original game, it is a nostalgic walk through one of the most beautiful games ever created.

For those who have not played the original game, however, here's a guide on how to get the true ending.

In order to get the true ending, you must fill up the chapter chart in the game. You can do it however you like, but this guide shows you the easiest way to do it.

Also, I've tried to keep it as spoiler-free as possible, so don't worry.

Preparation

Before you go through the last chapter, "Armageddon", make sure you're well-stocked first, as you will be fighting five bosses here. Stock up on some Elixir and some high-level healing items from the Kitchen or from the Pooka Caf.

Get some support items as well. I would recommend stocking up on a lot of Regeneration and Antidotes, and maybe some Unlimited Power. Extra Phozons might come in handy too, so make sure to bring some.

Finally, all of your characters must at least have level 40 HP and level 35 Psypher.

Good Ending

We will tackle the True Ending first. Now the ending of the story depends on the order of your characters, so for this ending, you have to make sure to match up the right characters to the corresponding bosses in the chapter.

Here are the order of the bosses:

Six Eyed Beast (Beast of Darkova)

Lord of the Netherworld (Gallon, King of the Netherworld)

Incantation of Fire (Inferno King Onyx)

The Cauldron

Last Dragon (Levanthan, the Last Dragon)

And this is how the order should be for your characters:

Cornelius

Oswald

Mercedes

Velvet

Gwendolyn

Getting this ending will unlock the last book in the game, the Wheel of Fate, and the "Blessing" Trophy.

Bad Endings

The HD remake will have Playstation Trophy functionality, (we will work on the Trophy Guide soon) so you would still want to do the bad endings for this game.

The first run should go like this:

Velvet

Cornelius

Gwendolyn

Oswald

Mercedes

For this run you would need to choose the following characters in this order:

Gwendolyn

Velvet

Cornelius

After clearing the third stage, back out and select the Wheels of Fate book. Reset your progress.

For the final run:

Mercedes

Gwendolyn

Oswald

Again after clearing the third stage, go back to the Wheels of Fate book. It should give you an additional prompt this time, showing the special true ending.

Post Credits Ending

This is no Marvel movie, but I'd suggest you stick around after the credits (after the Fin screen) to unlock an additional cutscene to obtain the "Curtain Call" trophy.
