Samsung hasn't made any official announcement about the launch date of the highly anticipated Galaxy S3, but it hasn't stopped Android fans from speculating about its release date or features. The latest rumor, based on a leaked photo, is that Galaxy S3 will debut on May 22 but there are contrary reports that Samsung's flagship smartphone could be launched as early as April.

Dutch mobile blog GSM Helpdesk published an image Wednesday, indicating that it's no other than the Samsung Galaxy S3.

The image is consistent with the previous leaked renders. According to the image, the Korean company might choose capacitive hardware buttons for its device, instead of on-screen navigation buttons.

The site also revealed some features of the upcoming smartphone, including "a full HD Super AMOLED display, Android 4.0 with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI and a 1.5GHz quad-core processor," BGR reported.

Though some sources claim Galaxy S3 will debut on May 22 in London, another camp claims an April launch could be possible.

Samsung's President for the China region, Kim Young-ha, was quoted as saying, according to BGR, that Galaxy S3 could launch in April. "In order to increase sales of the Galaxy S3 as well as the Galaxy Note which is already very popular in China, the company is considering rescheduling the rollout of the Galaxy S3 from May to April," Kim reportedly said Wednesday at the Samsung Forum 2012.
