The Pokemon Company and Nintendo has announced that "Pokemon Go" will be featured at the special Nintendo Treehouse event at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo.

The news was revealed through the Pokemon Japanese Twitter account, Nintendo Life reports. The augmented-reality game will be showcased during the event.

There will be a Q&A panel with one of the game developers is scheduled to happen on the second day of the event. The panel will also be streamed online, with NicoVideo handling the coverage for Japan. Comicbook.com speculated that there might not be a lot of new content revealed for Pokemon Go since most of the features are already introduced. However, fans might finally get a release date for the international open beta of the game.

It has also been confirmed that the highly anticipated Nintendo 3DS games "Pokemon Sun and Moon" will also be showcased at the Nintendo Treehouse event. Scheduled on the first day of E3, The Pokemon Company said that new content will be revealed for the game. Nintendo has released tons of new information about "Sun and Moon" today, including the Alola region, the Rotom Pokedex, and Legendary Pokemon Solageo and Lunala.

The Sun and Moon segment will fall on the same day as Nintendo's "The Legend of Zelda" Wii U event. The game company initially said that it will be showcasing only one game at E3.

Nintendo Treehouse will also have an E3 2016 Pokemon Special on the last day, and as the name implies, it will be dedicated to all things Pokemon, although not much details were provided, Nintendo Life reports.
