Apple has been slapped with a brand new lawsuit, which alleges that the advertisements for its personal voice assistant Siri, are “misleading and deceptive”.

Frank M. Fazio from Northern California, who filed the lawsuit, claims that the voice-activated intelligent assistant, iPhone’s 4S Siri, is not as capable as the advertisements show it. Fazio gave an example of when asking Siri for directions, the application either could not understand what was asked, or it took a long time to respond. The answers Siri usually gives are also either sloppy and take loads of time or are unreliable.

Fazio is also claiming that the only reason people were misled into buying the new iPhone 4S, is because the Siri was exclusive to the latest version of iPhone.

The lawsuit alleges Apple violated the Consumers Legal Remedies Act, California’s Unfair Competition Law and that it committed both intentional, as well as negligent misrepresentation.
