The upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), from June 14 - 16, has sparked the enthusiasm of "The Elder Scrolls 6" fans, but reports suggest that the much - anticipated game may be released in 2017.
Fans of the game got excited when it was announced by Bethedsa that they are looking for a character artist with knowledge in role - playing games, or more specifically, with "The Elder Scrolls". According to some, this proves that the development of the game is already in progress and players can anticipate its release sometime in 2017.
However, it is to be noted that the interval between Bethedsa's release of "The Elder Scrolls" installments have been four years consistently. Thus, if the pattern is to be followed, the latest version of the game will be released sometime in 2019, counting from the release of "The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited" in June 2015.
According to a report from Neuro Gadget, the VP of marketing and PR at Bethedsa, Pete Hines, has already confirmed earlier that "The Elder Scrolls 6" might not be released anytime soon, since the development team is focusing on "Fallout 4".
"We do smaller stuff, we don't publish to scale, we try to publish to quality. Make sure everything we do is noteworthy. Our approach to that hasn't differed," Hines mentioned in an interview with Telegraph last year.
Here and there we might change our approach to how it's presented but we've still stuck to who we are," he continued. However, Bethedsa is yet to release an official statement regarding the release date and development of the much-anticipated "Elder Scrolls 6".
Meanwhile, the game is rumored to be a continuation of "Skyrim" concerning gameplay, and fans have started debating about the possible locations of the game and the title. However, the details for the release date and location of the gameplay of "The Elder Scrolls 6" still remain unknown for now.
