Earlier this year, rumors about Google developing another variation of its Google Glasses have been circulating the tech world. Then last month, it has been known that a patent for what seems to be that version of Google Glass has been leaked online, thus strengthening the speculations. Now after some time, more concrete evidence has been exposed, and yes it pretty much confirmed everything.
Why so? The recent evidence consists of a couple of pictures that show the new Google Glass. Clearly this no longer is speculation as the pictures show the newest version of the said technology. And it's not even a patent but the real created version of the gadget.
For some time now, rumors that the Google Glasses might be turned into a monocle have been buzzing around after the patent was leaked online. And by the looks of these pictures, it could probably be true, but we aren't sure yet.
A lot of times pictures are released by companies from time to time, some end up as the final product picture and some although relatively small don't end up as is. However, the picture does indeed show that the new Google Glass version wraps around only on one side of the user's head. So yeah, it could be a monocle. But it could just be for testing purposes only, so we'll have to wait and see.
The new leaked Google Glass version supposedly has a more improved hardware that is now including a larger prism display with a front light that will turn on when the device's camera is in use. The gadget's power button by the looks of it has now been moved from the inside to the back of the said gadget.
This latest version is waterproof and closed off to avoid dust damages in the future. It is also said to be having a more robust built and a hinge that will allow it to fold. It can withstand bumps and bruises in the workplace as it is designed to do so.
It looks like the latest one would be a good hit with users. There is one catch, though. It is now reportedly being planned to be distributed only through the "Glass for Work" startups. This means that Glass for Work partners are more than likely loading their proprietary software onto the device before they are distributed. This move makes speculations buzz that the tech company might not be selling the device to their consumers.
But there is hope yet, as there is still no official word or even hints coming from Google as of now whether the new version is an Enterprise Edition of Google's Glass device. It has been reported though that although this fact is not confirmed, there is a plan for this gadget to be put into circulation soon.
