Apple seems to be going on a record of good news nowadays. This time it managed to have a deal with the music legend, the Beatles. Imagine all the fans now rejoicing, knowing they can now stream the songs of their favorite English rock band. What we're talking about here is the the famous band's album stream on Apple Music, which became available at 12:01 am of local time zones across the world on Christmas day.
What makes it even better is that not only can the Beatles' 13 remastered studio albums be heard on the Cupertino's Music app, but also the entire band's catalog is available on several streaming services too. Fans can also check services like Google Play Music, Deezer, Spotify, Rhapsody, Slacker, Amazon Music, Groove and Tidal. This move by Apple is a real treat for fans, who have been anticipating this event and have been waiting for a long time.
It can be recalled that it also took years before the legendary band released its albums on the iTunes Store. The albums of the Beatles became available following years of negotiations between Apple and the company managing the band's rights until finally the Cupertino company acquired permission in 2010 to release the albums on their app.
Previously, popular artists have been blasting Apple off for its streaming services; some artists even went as far as opting out of the service. One of the most vocal is popular singer Taylor Swift, who publicly argued that artists and labels are not getting enough revenue from streaming services. After the public argument, Apple and Swift managed to settle a deal and let the Cupertino stream her album 1989 on Apple Music.
Also, just weeks ago, the Cupertino company managed to snag a deal with Swift, allowing an exclusive streaming of the concert film of the international famous singer's recent Sydney tour. With these recent events, it seems like both the fans and Apple would be having a sweet Christmas season.
