There's a good news for Apple Music—and YouTube Music lovers right now.
Switching music streaming services has traditionally been a hassle, but recent developments are making it easier-at least for Apple Music and YouTube Music users.
Now, Apple Music allows seamless playlist transfers to and from YouTube Music, offering a straightforward process for users looking to switch platforms. Here's a detailed guide on how to make the switch without losing your favorite playlists.
Apple has introduced two new support documents to guide users through the process of transferring playlists between Apple Music and YouTube Music. These documents, titled "Transfer a copy of your music playlists to Apple Music" and "Transfer a copy of your Apple Music playlists to another service," outline simple steps to facilitate this process.
However, according to 9to5Mac, it's important to note that only playlists are currently supported for transfer. This means your entire music library, listening history, algorithmic preferences, and liked songs cannot be transferred at this time. While this limitation might be disappointing, the ability to move playlists is a good first step toward easier service switching.

Although Apple's support pages suggest the process might work with various services, the only platform currently supported for playlist transfers with Apple Music is YouTube Music.
Users hoping for an Apple Music to Spotify transfer option will have to wait, as there's no current agreement between Apple and Spotify for such functionality. Given the history between the two companies, it's uncertain when or if this will happen.
The only good news we heard about Spotify is that it gained approval to show its pricing information in the iOS app in the EU, according to MobileNApps.
Transferring your playlists between these two platforms has no complicated process but differs slightly depending on the direction of the transfer. Below are the instructions for each scenario:

This cross-service playlist transfer support is a continuation of the collaboration between Apple and Google, which began earlier this year with photo transfers.
With this new tool, Apple Music and YouTube Music users now have the flexibility to switch platforms without losing their carefully curated playlists. Whether you're exploring new music offerings or simply looking to streamline your subscriptions, this tool can save time and frustration.
In other news, Reuters reports that Apple wants to establish strong ties with India's Bharti Airtel to serve Indian users with its music and video streaming offerings.
Airtel confirmed in a statement that Apple TV+ will arrive "bundled" with premium plans, particularly Airtel WiFi and Postpaid plans. However, the value of the partnership is not revealed.
