After winning this year’s award for “best smartphone” (Galaxy S2) at the recently concluded World Mobile Congress held in Barcelona, Samsung is reportedly launching the hyped Galaxy S3 sooner than expected.
The tech company has successfully launched a new tablet version – Galaxy Note 10.1 – at the MWC and so it is only a matter a time for Galaxy S3 to be released in the market. But just as nobody knew exactly when the Galaxy Nexus would be released, it appears that nobody knows the exact launch date of Galaxy S3.
The Galaxy S2 was unveiled at the previous Mobile World Congress and then launched in April. It could indicate that Galaxy S3 could follow the steps of its predecessor and launch in April or sometime later this year. A South African mobile carrier called Cell C suggested that the Galaxy S3 will most likely be available starting July 2012, which only resulted in disappointing the fans, who were eagerly waiting for an April debut.
Meanwhile, others suggest that the best advertising platform for Samsung’s newest smartphone will be the Summer Olympic Games, which will be held in London. It means Samsung could launch Galaxy S3 immediately after the games.
Recently, Samsung denied all rumors surrounding the mysterious launch and has most likely left it for somewhere in the summers.
Also, currently Samsung is said to be working on a new smartphone with edge-to-edge 5-inch display, which could be released sometime during summer. Technology suckers can only hope that this smartphone will be the highly expected Galaxy S3.
