"Don't Starve: Pocket Edition" has just launched its iOS version for iPad devices. The new Pocket Edition was created to be touch responsive and it requires at least iOS 8 and as well as iPad 3, iPad mini 2 and higher.

"Don't Starve Together!" is an adventure game created by Klei Entertainment and it is about the survival of rogue-like characters. The game was initially launched on Steam then made available on Microsoft Windows, OS X and Linux on Apr. 23, 2014.

The highly-rated game was offered the console version the following year. Now, they are introducing the iOS version which is already gaining attention in the gaming industry.

As TouchArcade reported, the game is similar to "Minecraft's" survival mode, but it is much more complicated. The game will initially let you play the character of a guy who has a sole goal of not starving, just as the title entails.

The guy in the game will have to utilize his surroundings and pick berries and carrots just to stay alive.

Then, there will be the first night cycle, which is going to be a big challenge because of the darkness. This game is very basic in terms of the survival codes. The user cannot have a flashlight or any kind of modern device, so he is prompted to finding other ways to create light. If the user was not able to get materials for the torch fire while there is still light, it is going to be much harder to survive the night.

This indie game is also more than just an eat-and-run type of game. The amazing graphics and unique imagery can provide a unique experience to its users.

The iPad version of the game is now available on the App store for $4.99.
