Sprint is now taking pre-orders for the LG G Flex 2 curved-display powerhouse, and is also offering a free LG Quick Circle Folio Case.
The LG G Flex 2 made its debut back at CES 2015 in January, boasting high-end specs and features all around. Last year, LG stirred plenty of interest with its original G Flex smartphone, albeit the handset didn't see quite the wide adoption the company was likely hoping for.
The new-generation LG G Flex 2, however, sports notable improvements on all fronts compared to its predecessor and is expected to be in high demand.
Sprint has now officially started taking pre-orders for the handset on Friday, Feb. 20, offering the device for $199.99 when agreeing to sign a two-year service agreement, $21 per month for 24 months with Sprint Easy Pay, or $504 outright, at full retail price.
As a reminder, the LG G Flex 2 boasts a 5.5-inch curved P-OLED display with a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, as opposed to the 6-inch 720p screen of its predecessor. Moreover, the LG G Flex 2 is among the first devices to launch with Qualcomm's new 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor under the hood, paired with powerful Adreno 430 graphics. The smartphone comes in two options - one with 32GB of internal storage capacity and 2GB of RAM, and the other with 64GB of internal storage and 3GB of RAM. Sprint, however, is only taking pre-orders for the 32GB model with 2GB of RAM. Nevertheless, the handset also has microSD storage support that allows for a whopping 2TB of storage.
Other specs include a 13-megapixel rear camera with laser autofocus and OIS+, a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 3,000 mAh battery with fast-charge technology. On the software side, the handset ships with Android Lollipop on board.
The LG G Flex 2 further features a high-tech self-healing coating, which enables it to automatically recover from small scuffs and scratches that normally occur with regular use.
Sprint is taking pre-orders for the Platinum Silver and Volcano Red versions of the LG G Flex 2, and is also throwing in a free LG Quick Circle Folio Case to customers who purchase the smartphone by March 12 (while supplies last).
