Samsung is reportedly gearing up to release three new smartphones in South Korea: the Galaxy A5, alongside the unannounced Galaxy A7 and Galaxy Grand Max.
The company unveiled its Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A3 smartphones a little while back, as part of a new Galaxy A series of devices with full-metal bodies. Before the unveiling, Samsung was widely expected to announce three devices, with the third being a higher-end Galaxy A7, but the company made no mention of the other model at the time.
Nevertheless, the Galaxy A7 has leaked extensively as of late and is expected to make its debut soon, and the latest report further bolsters this claim. The news comes from SamMobile, which claims that Samsung will be releasing its Galaxy A5, Galaxy A7, and Galaxy Grand Max soon in its home country of South Korea.
While the Galaxy A5 is official and the Galaxy A7 has leaked on several occasions, the purported Galaxy Grand Max is a completely new affair. According to the report, the handset will come with model number SM-G720N0 and feature a 5.2-inch HD TFT LCD display, a quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz, 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage capacity, and a microSD card slot for additional memory of up to 64GB.
Other purported specs of the Galaxy Grand Max include a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front shooter, a 2,500 mAh battery, and Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box. Moreover, the report claims that this model of the Galaxy Grand Max (SM-G720N0) would be compatible with LTE and DMB networks.
The Samsung Galaxy Alpha, meanwhile, is expected to arrive as the higher-end model in the company's new Galaxy A series, and come in three variants: SM-A700S, SM-A700K, and SM-A700L.
In terms of specifications, the Galaxy A7 will reportedly sport a 5.2-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display (1920 x 1080 pixels), a 1.5GHz octa-core processor (potentially the Qualcomm Snapdragon 615), 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage capacity, microSD card support, a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front shooter, and a 2,500 mAh battery. Connectivity options will reportedly include LTE, voLTE, and DMB, in addition to the typical options such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS.
The report offers no precise date for when Samsung would launch these three devices in South Korea, but we'll keep you up to date as soon as we learn more.
