Samsung has officially announced its new Galaxy A smartphones, unveiling the Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 with full-metal unibody designs and slim profiles.
The two handsets come with mid-range specifications and are targeted toward the younger crowd, designed with social networking in mind.
"The Galaxy A5 and A3 offer a beautifully crafted full metal unibody, slim design, superior hardware and the best possible social media experience," JK Shin, CEO and Head of IT & Mobile Communication at Samsung Electronics, touts in the press release on Friday, Oct. 31. "These devices make our advanced Galaxy experience even more accessible to young and trend conscious consumers."
Both the Samsung Galaxy A3 and the Galaxy A5 sport the same neat design, with the latter coming as the larger and more powerful of the duo. At the same time, although the Galaxy A5 is larger than the A3, it is also thinner, sporting a 6.7mm thin profile compared to its sibling's 7mm thickness.
Seeing as the two handsets are designed with social networking in mind, aimed at the younger crowd, the Samsung Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 are also selfie-friendly with 5-megapixel front shooters and a bunch of relevant features such as Wide Selfie, Rear-cam Selfie, and Beauty Face Features. Moreover, the selfie technology packed into these two new handsets also comes with the ability to focus on someone's face for the best selfie, and even includes an animated gif mode.
