The highly-anticipated Samsung Galaxy S6 is now the star of a new leak, which claims the handset will boast a full-metal body and a dual-edge curved display.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 is expected to be one of the hottest devices of next year and the company has reportedly gone back to the drawing board to create something that can really stand out from the crowd. The current Galaxy S5 flagship smartphone has not performed as well as the company hoped for, selling fewer units than its predecessors, and Samsung reportedly wants to turn things around with its next-generation flagship.
Dubbed "Project Zero," the 2015 Samsung Galaxy S6 will reportedly sport great improvements on all fronts compared to the Galaxy S5, and all sorts of rumors and reports hint at exciting things to come. While so far most rumors indicated that the Galaxy S6 would sport some metal in its build, perhaps a metal frame or something along those lines, a new report now claims that it will in fact rock a premium build with a complete aluminum design. Samsung has already ventured into this territory with its full-metal Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5, part of its new A series, and it would make sense for the company to extend the full-metal courtesy to its Galaxy S6 as well.
The latest report comes from Italian publication Samsung HD Blog, which claims that the next-generation Galaxy S6 will not only come with a full-metal build, but will also feature a "dual-edge" display that will curve on both the left and right sides.
So far, some reports have indicated that the Galaxy S6 may launch alongside a curved-display variant called the Galaxy S6 Edge, while other reports claimed that the Galaxy S6 Edge would not see the light of day after all. If this report turns out to be accurate, the Samsung Galaxy S6 may combine both and launch as a true flagship with a premium metal build, a curved display on the sides, and top-notch specs and features all around.
Based on rumors so far, the Samsung Galaxy S6 is expected to sport a 5.5-inch display with a high resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, joining the QHD party. Under the hood, the handset will reportedly pack a 64-bit Exynos 7420 processor paired with Mali-T760 graphics and 3GB of RAM, while another variant would rock the 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset (if it's ready in time).
It's all in the rumor state for now, however, which means that everything remains unconfirmed until Samsung makes an official announcement. As always in such cases, it is best to take all rumors and reports with a healthy dose of skepticism.
