Lenovo has apparently launched a new S90 "Sisley" smartphone that looks blatantly similar to Apple's new iPhone 6.

While iPhone replicas are not such a big surprise anymore, such a blatant copy is shocking when it comes from a heavyweight company such as Lenovo, which is one of the largest handset makers in the world.

As Gizmobic reports, Lenovo has quietly released this S90 Sisley smartphone in China for Yuan 1,999, i.e. roughly $330.

"It looks similar to iPhone 6 from almost every angle (except top back) but how they showed this device actually gave us shock," Gizmobic reports. "These exclusive images show how they are teasing this Sisley S90 smartphone using Apple's iPhone 6 presentation. OMG! Even one wallpaper used is same. For those who don't know, this Lenovo Sisley is 6.9mm thick and weighs 129g (exactly same as of Apple iPhone 6) but with single 5-inch variant."

The Lenovo Sisley S90 looks surprisingly a lot like the iPhone 6 indeed, but the similarities end with the design. In terms of specs, the S90 comes with a 5-inch Super AMOLED display with 720p HD resolution, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2GHz, Adreno 306 graphics, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage capacity, a 13-megapixel rear camera, an 8-megapixel front shooter, and a 2,300 mAh battery to keep things up and running. The handset runs Android 4.4.4 KitKat out of the box and is exclusively available in China, at least for now.

The Sisley S90 further comes with TD-LTE (limited) support, NFC, and dual-SIM support, and is available in four color options: gold, silver, pink, and black/gray.

As Gizmobit points out, the Lenovo Sisley S90 looks like an iPhone 6 rip-off from top to bottom, with the same color, reflection, presentation angle, and wallpaper, albeit it packs lower-end specs. The resemblance is uncanny and you don't have to be an Apple fanboy to come to this conclusion.

It's odd to see such a big manufacturer draw such heavy inspiration from another company and product, but the Lenovo Sisley S90 proves that it happens. It remains to be seen how Apple will react to this blatant iPhone 6 copy, as there is no doubt regarding the similarity in design.
