Apple fixes the iPhone battery bug that causes several iPhone 6 series handsets to unexpectedly shutdown randomly with 30 percent battery left. The bug has been reported by many Apple device users, however the company refused to acknowledge the problem, according to reports.

Despite of Apple's denial of the issue, they still made improvements in the latest iOS version 10.2.1 which was released on January 2017 to resolve the battery bug. iPhone 6 series devices that previously experienced the unexpected shutdown are now running smoothly after upgrading to the latest iOS version.

According to Apple, these unexpected shutdowns are not a safety issue, but they understand that it can be an inconvenience to users and wanted to fix the issue as quickly as possible. A Tech Crunch report showed Apple's statement discussing the unexpected shutdown problem of the iPhone 6 series devices and how they fixed it thru the iOS 10.2.1.

"With iOS 10.2.1, Apple made improvements to reduce occurrences of unexpected shutdowns that a small number of users were experiencing with their iPhone," Apple explained. "The iOS version 10.2.1 already has over half of the active iOS devices upgraded and the data we've received shows that for this number of users experiencing the issue, more than 80 percent reduction in iPhone 6s and over 70 percent reduction on iPhone 6 of devices unexpectedly shutting down."

Based on the user reports, only the iPhone 6 series devices are experiencing the battery bug issue. And for those users who are still having problems with this issue, the best remedy is to upgrade your device's system.
