Samsung plans to release yet another version of its flagship smartphone and a Galaxy S5 Plus product page is now live in Europe.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 launched earlier this year and is considered one of the hottest devices currently available on the market, but the company is not done yet. Samsung plans to release an upgraded version of the handset in Europe and it will apparently launch as the Galaxy S5 Plus, as the company's website for the Netherlands has officially set up a product page for the device.
Samsung has yet to make an official announcement in this regards and the new smartphone version is not yet available for purchase, but the official product page suggests that a launch is imminent.
Based on this product page on Samsung's Netherlands website (see image above), the Galaxy S5 Plus basically seems to be quite similar to the S5 4G+ variant that launched in Singapore not too long ago with LTE-A on board.
In terms of specifications, the Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus is listed with a more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor clocked at 2.5GHz, compared to the Snapdragon 801 chipset powering the original model.
Other specs of the S5 Plus variant include a 5.1-inch full HD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage capacity, microSD card support for additional memory of up to 128GB, a 16-megapixel rear shooter, and a 2-megapixel front camera. The smartphone will support 4 LTE FDD networks, as well as 3G UMTS. As expected, the fingerprint reader, heart rate monitor, and IP67 certification are also part of the package. The Galaxy S5 Plus will run Android 4.4 KitKat and pack a 2,800 mAh battery to keep things up and running.
It remains unclear at this point just when the Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus will make its official debut and which other countries it will hit, but the product page indicates that a formal launch is just around the corner. We'll keep you up to date as soon as we learn more, so stay tuned. In the meantime, check out the product page at this link.
