The purported Samsung Galaxy A5 has leaked yet again, this time surfacing in allegedly official press renders that have made their way online ahead of the phone's launch.

Samsung is widely rumored to be gearing up for the launch of a new family of mid-range handsets, expected to hit the market soon as the A series. This lineup will reportedly consist of three handsets - the Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5, and Galaxy A7 - all of which would borrow the metallic design of the recently-launched Galaxy Alpha.

While the Samsung Galaxy Alpha didn't arrive as the full-metal smartphone many were hoping for, it nonetheless marked an important improvement by sporting a stylish metal frame instead of an all-plastic body. The Galaxy Alpha is believed to be just the first of this purported A series of mid-rangers with metallic bodies.

After leaking alongside the purported Galaxy A3, the Samsung Galaxy A5 has now leaked online again, courtesy of Phone Arena.

"New renders of the Galaxy A5 have been sent our way by one of our readers, and from where we're standing, they're looking legit. Hot on the heels of yesterday's photos of the A5 caught in the wild, we're now looking at sterile renders that show the device in its full (albeit not high-res) glory," Phone Arena reveals.

As previously mentioned, the new A series devices are expected to sport the same design language of the aluminum-framed Samsung Galaxy Alpha, and these alleged press shots of the Galaxy A5 fall in line with previous rumors. The images confirm that the Galaxy A5 will look nearly identical to the Galaxy Alpha, complete with the metal frame and beveled edges.

In terms of specifications, the Samsung Galaxy A5 is expected to come with a 5-inch Super AMOLED display with an HD resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and pack a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor under the hood, paired with 2GB of RAM. Other rumored specs include 16GB of internal storage capacity, microSD support for additional memory, a 13-megapixel rear camera, and a 5-megapixel front shooter perfect for selfies. A 2,300 mAh battery will reportedly keep things up and running, while the latest Android 4.4.4 KitKat will rock the software side.

When it comes to pricing, Phone Arena claims that the Samsung Galaxy A5 will come with an off-contract price of roughly $400 when it launches.

Nothing is official for now and no exact release date is available at this point, but the frequency of leaks and these newly-surfaced press renders suggest an imminent launch. We'll keep you in the loop as soon as we hear more, but take everything with a grain of salt in the meantime.
