Apple is being accused of fraud in the latest trademark dispute which erupted in Mainland China and has crossed the ocean to come to the United States. The dispute? A trademark handed over in 2009 over right to use the iPad name. Initially, the dispute was only on branding and selling the iPad in China but bringing the lawsuit to the U.S. changes completely the problem’s dimensions and threatens to have consequences upon Apple’s marketing campaigns on the upcoming iPad 3.

According to The Verge and 9to5Mac, Apple is developing both an enhanced A5 processor and a completely new quad-core A6 chip for the upcoming iPad 3. There have been many rumors and speculations in the media on whether Apple is enhancing the A5 processor for the iPad 3 or developing a completely new chip – the A6. There has even been a supposedly leaked photo of the A5X, the alleged name of the revamped A5.
According to the Apple-centered blog iMore, Apple may be replacing the traditional dock connector featured on the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch with a smaller “micro dock”, aiming to leave more space for more critical components such as an LTE chipset or perhaps a bigger battery.
