Sprint will reportedly gain access to Motorola's Moto Maker service on Nov. 11, allowing users to customize their Moto X smartphone.

The Moto X stirred quite some waves upon its announcement and the smartphone's high customization features were in the spotlight. Motorola promised to offer unprecedented and unparalleled customization options so users could design their own Moto X, choosing from roughly 2,000 possible combinations.

The smartphone comes with plenty of neat features, especially the way it handles voice commands, always listening for the owner's voice. Without these high customization options, however, the Moto X is a mid-range handset with no top-notch specs and a pretty high price tag.

Motorola allows users to customize their Moto X through a tool called the Moto Maker, but so far the service has been exclusive to AT&T. This means that customers on other networks are left with black and white color options for the Moto X, with no customization options available.

Various rumors suggested that AT&T's exclusivity would expire in November and Moto Maker would become available from other carriers and stores afterwards. After rumors that Verizon and Best Buy are preparing to offer Moto Maker, a new report now claims that Sprint is gaining access to the service on Nov. 11.

Android Central managed to get its hands on some leaked promotional materials that detail the Moto Maker launch on Sprint. All major U.S. carriers are currently selling the Moto X, but only in the classic black and white color options (except for AT&T).

"On 11/11, Motorola launches its Moto Maker capabilities to Sprint, allowing customers to customize their own Moto X devices," reads the memo, as posted by Android Central.

The customization options Moto Maker would bring to the Sprint Moto X include back colors, wallpapers, storage options, custom boot message, and other such choices. The neat wooden back covers and the custom engraving options, however, are reportedly still missing.

Sprint has yet to make an official announcement regarding the Moto X Moto Maker customization service, so it is advisable to take this rumor with a grain of salt for now. If the report turns out to be accurate, we should hear more about it very soon, as Nov. 11 is less than a week away.
