Samsung has been making headlines recently because of the range of devices that, according to rumors, will be launched later this month. One of the device is a rugged version of the flagship Galaxy S4, dubbed Galaxy S4 Active, and a leaked press shots show that it's headed to AT&T.

The Unlocker, which has been very active in recent times, especially in leaking Samsung-related information, has posted the images that show the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active from four different angles and reveals almost everything related to the design and looks of the rugged device.

The front of the Galaxy S4 Active is very different from the Galaxy S4 as it comes with three physical buttons at the bottom. The physical Home button is usually flanked by two touch sensitive buttons in Samsung's high-end smartphones like the Galaxy S3 and S4, but in case of the Active, the physical Home button is flanked by physical buttons.

Rest of the front and the screen looks similar to the Galaxy S4. The quality of the screen resolution also looks to be very high as the brightness and sharpness of the wallpaper looks impressive.

The wallpaper also reveals something that has not been talked about by Samsung so far. Friday, June 21 is displayed on the screen of the phone and we assume that the water- and dust-proof Galaxy S4 Active is going to be released on that date.

The back of the phone is a little different from the Galaxy S4 when it comes to design, but the placement of the camera, flash and the speaker is exactly as the Galaxy S4. The AT&T moniker is placed just below the flash light and the Galaxy S4 Active logo has been placed above the speakers in the center.

The Galaxy S4 Active is going to give a tough competition to Sony's Xperia Z smartphone. The unique selling point of the Xperia Z was its dust- and water-proof feature but as the Galaxy S4 Active is also going to come with the same qualities, many people will prefer the Active because of the reputation Samsung has achieved by its Galaxy series of devices.

The Galaxy S4 Active is expected to feature a 5 inch Super AMOLED display and will sport an 8 megapixel rear-facing camera with a 2.1 megapixel front-facing camera.

The device will be powered by Qualcomm's quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor clocked at 1.9 GHz and will be supported by a 2 GB RAM. The smartphone could run Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out of the box.
