For the last six months, many people were expecting that the new Android version dubbed as Key Lime Pie will come with Google-Motorola's new smartphone 'Moto X,' but a rumor has turned the focus to HTC.

Apparently, the Taiwanese manufacturer of Android smartphones will push Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie on to its rumored smartphone HTC T6. According to the The Unlocker, HTC's rumored 5.9 inch T6 phablet won't run Android 4.2 or Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating systems.

The HTC T6 has been the talk of rumor mills recently and many are dubbing it as a worthy rival of Samsung's upcoming phablet Galaxy Note 3.

The code name T6 might have been given because of the display size the device will reportedly boast - 5.9 inches. If that's true, then the T6 will be a phablet that would be competing with Samsung's latest iteration in the Galaxy Note phablet series.

Existence of HTC T6 was reported by Pocket-lint last week, but the specification and exact display size wasn't given in the report. Pocket-Lint had suggested that the 'bigger version' of the HTC one will arrive with a display size somewhere between 5 and 6 inches.

The Unlocker report also says that the HTC T6 will give a tough competition to Samsung's third-generation Galaxy Note as it will come with a creative input tool or stylus similar to the S-Pen.

"Great care is apparently being put into making the pen usage here a premium experience, so expect a nicely crafted stylus with an ultra-thin tip capable of a full suite of content creation and manipulation capabilities. It wasn't known whether Scribe, the company's pen suite for its short-lived lineup of (two) Android tablets, would be powering the T6 experience as well," the report says.

The publisher also reveals basic specifications of the HTC T6 and suggests that there won't be any major changes in term of design from the HTC One.

The HTC T6 might be powered by Qualcomm's most advanced quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.3 GHz and supported by a huge 2 GB RAM. The internal storage of the HTC T6 is said to be like that of HTC One at 16 GB, but the microSD slot in the phone might extend the memory up to 64 GB.

The phablet might sport an UltraPixel rear-facing camera and a 2.1 megapixel front-facing camera with wide angle capability. The battery size looks pretty impressive with 3300 mAh, but it is not yet clear whether it will be removable or not.
