Sony looks like to be building a complete brigade of its Xperia device, and the new one in the list is going to be something bigger than the Xperia L.

Some leaked pictures of a new Sony Xperia smartphone have been spotted online with the screen showing device number as S39h.

Xperia Blog has posted the pictures of the white smartphone and it assumes that according to the model number, the device will sit just above the 4.3-inch Xperia L (C210X, S36h).

The device has design elements like Sony's Xperia Z and ZL devices with dedicated power and camera buttons and the signature home button.

The blog post is of the view that the device is especially designed for the Chinese market.

"We know that Sony is continuing to use two model naming schemes side-by-side. The first is the new CXXXX naming structure for handsets released in 2013, whilst that used for handsets in China continues to be the old structure with S/M/L denoting small/medium/large handsets. So it seems pretty much a given that this handset is being considered for China, but we don't know if it will see a release outside the region at this stage," the blog states.

Sony has also released another waterproof smartphone, Sony Xperia ZR with device name C550X 'Dogo'.

The Xperia ZR has a 4.55-inch OptiContrast display with 720 x 1280 pixel resolution and 319 PPI. It will be powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon chipset with Adreno 320 graphics, 2GB RAM, 8GB internal storage and a micro SD memory card slot.

The device found in the leaked picture doesn't look to have the features of being waterproof or dustproof, but we can say one thing that the way Sony is powering its new Xperia handsets, the processor of the smartphone is going to be a quad-core.

However, nothing can be said right now before Sony makes an official announcement of the device. The company usually doesn't take long time to launch a mid-range device so we can expect this smartphone with model number S39h to be in the market soon.
