Samsung could not make big headlines with its first smart camera, Galaxy Camera, when it gave users an option to have a shooter with so many features of a smartphone. However, the Korean tech giant is going to give its fans a combo of a smartphone and camera that will come with great shooting abilities.

The smartphone camera from Samsung has been the talk of the blogosphere for quite some time now; however this is the first time we got to know about the specifications of the upcoming device.

According to Samsung-focused tech website SamMobile, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom is going to come with a 4.3 inch qHD AMOLED display and a zoom capacity up to 10 times.

Other specifications of the first smartphone camera have not been given, but we assume that many of the hardware components of the Galaxy S4 Zoom will be somehow similar to the Galaxy Camera and Galaxy S4 smartphone.

The camera sensor and the zoom capacity of the Galaxy S4 Zoom are just like that of Galaxy Camera at 16 megapixel and 10X. Samsung would have wanted to increase these two things in the S4 Zoom but the size of the device must be the factor that kept the company away from doing it.

The Galaxy S4 Zoom will not be something like the Galaxy S4 but will be a smartphone first and then a camera.

We assume that Samsung will not drift away from it Exynos processor which has been used in the Galaxy Camera and the same quad-core Exynos 4 processor clocked at 1.4 MHz will be packed inside the Galaxy S4 Zoom.

The smartphone camera will definitely run on of the Android 4.x Jelly Bean OS, but the chances of being powered by Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean are more as the Galaxy S4 is already running the OS out of the box.

The biggest thing we are waiting to receive a tip on is about the number of cameras. Since it is a smartphone camera, it is just not clear whether it will come with only the mammoth rear-facing camera or it will also have a front-facing camera of about 2-megapixel to live up to the image of a complete smartphone.
