Samsung has released the dual SIM version of the Galaxy S4 smartphone in China and the device is powered by Samsung's own eight-core processor, Exynos 5 Octa. The other specifications of the phone are the same as the single SIM version of the Galaxy S4 that comes with the Exynos 5 Octa processor.
The only difference between the dual SIM version and its single SIM counterpart is the weight. The dual SIM version is 2 grams heavier than the single SIM device.
According to a report from GSM Arena, the handset is available in China right now and there is no information about the international availability of the version.
Samsung has another version of single SIM Galaxy S4 that comes with Qualcomm's quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor clocked at 1.7 GHz. The version is designed to support the CDMA network.
Chinese customers are getting a great deal of attention from leading mobile makers as they are rolling out special editions of their flagship devices in the Chinese market.
HTC also released the dual SIM version of its flagship device, HTC One. At the same time, leaks about an all-new dual SIM smartphone from Samsung have also surfaced. The handset is named Galaxy Core and it looks very much like the Galaxy S4 in design.
According to a SamMobile report, the Galaxy Core will have a 4.3 inch WVGA 480x800 display. The phone will be powered by a dual-core processor clocked at 1.2 GH.
The device looks very mid-level when it comes to it features like 768 MB of RAM and a 5-megapixel camera. The phone will have 8 GB of internal memory and microSD card slot.
The device is expected to reach Russia and China in mid-May with a price tag of €320.
