HTC's new flagship device HTC One was released in China, and the Chinese fans will get something more than others across the world.
The HTC One made its debut in China, where the device comes with dual SIM support. The smartphone launched across all three Chinese operators — China Unicom, China Telecom and China Mobile.
Apart from the dual SIM support, the device also has a microSD slot, which the other version of the smartphone doesn't have. The capacity of the microSD slot is not known but it is obviously an advantage for Chinese users.
Engadget's China edition posted a series of pictures showing the phone without the back panel, exposing the two SIM slots and a microSD slot.
The HTC One in China also has its battery packed in the body that cannot be removed for charging. With the detachable back panel, people were hoping that HTC would include an external battery to juice up the smartphone but Chinese buyers of the phone will also have to carry a charger, as do their counterparts in the rest of the world.
HTC also released an exclusive One handset for AT&T and the device will have 64GB of storage.
The normal HTC One smartphone is available with 32GB storage on other carriers in the U.S.
HTC announced the HTC One at its Feb.19 launch event. However, the company still brought the brand new Android smartphone along at the MWC, and managed to make quite an impression, with the new smartphone winning the MWC Mobile Device award.
The HTC One comes with a 4.7-inch full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and 468 pixels per inch. The device is powered by Qualcomm's quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor clocked at 1.7GHz and supported by 2 GB of RAM.
Apart from this, the smartphone also uses HTC's new 4-megapixel Ultrapixel rear-facing camera and a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera for voice chat.
The device is also equipped with HTC's custom HTC Sense 5 user interface.
