LG has been flying high, propelled by the sales of its Nexus 4 and Optimus G smartphones, and now word's on the street that the South Korean company will be launching a new line-up of Optimus smartphones at the MWC 2013 in Barcelona this month.
LG took the wraps off its Optimus L series at MWC 2012 and launched the Optimus L3, L5, L7, and L9, which catered to all segments and ranged from the low to upper mid-range.
This time round, LG wants to up the ante and has posted an image on its Facebook page, teasing the upcoming new series of smartphones.
"New series will be unveiled," reads the text inside the picture posted by LG Mobile on Facebook.
The image, which looks like a gift wrapping, hints at the possibility of LG debuting a new series of devices soon.
Furthermore, below the image, LG notes "see what surprise LG has in store for you this time, with an unexpected distinction."
The "this time" would suggest a subtle reference to the MWC 2013, and how LG has taken to the event previously to unleash its arsenal of smartphones. Additionally, LG has released a video talking about endless possibilities. The video shows what appears to be several constellations and teases words like "Premium, Ultimate, Innovative, Professional, and Powerful."
With the MWC 2013 knocking at the doorstep, we'll soon known what "surprise" LG has in store for smartphone users. Check out the video below.
