The end of days is finally here. The Mayan Doomsday Prophecy, as most people are aware, had listed Dec. 21, 2012 as the date of the apocalypse.

So how will everything end? Will it be a planetary collision? Will it be a reversal of Earth’s poles, or will it be the highly hyped emergence of zombies (thank you Resident Evil series)?

However, NASA has tried and stopped all such rumors from escalating into something big by continuously stating that the world is in no apparent danger of being destroyed at the moment.

“The world will not end in 2012. Our planet has been getting along just fine for more than 4 billion years, and credible scientists worldwide know of no threat associated with 2012,” the agency states.

When asked as to what the origin of this prediction is, NASA states that the “story” started with claims that Nibiru, a supposed planet earlier discovered by the Sumerians, is headed toward Earth.

This catastrophe was originally predicted for May 2003, but when nothing happened, “the doomsday date was moved forward to December 2012 and linked to the end of one of the cycles in the ancient Mayan calendar at the winter solstice in 2012 -- hence the predicted doomsday date of December 21, 2012.”

Nonetheless, this hasn’t stopped the celebrities from twitting their thoughts and predictions, as as to what they feel towards the certain fact that the end of days is here. Here are a few tweets from different celebrities from around the globe to show what they think of the event.

Tara Reid: For Tara, this news from NASA will be a relief, who appeared on Twitter and asked: “Yo you guys is it really supposed to be the end of the world tonight?"

Martin Solveig: Solveig, better known for last year’s dance hit 'Hello', joked about the situation, stating: "In case it's not the end of the world, can we make it the end of Gangnam Style?"

Gary Neville: Ex-footballer and Manchester United legend Gary Neville states: "Lot of people telling me the world is going to end tomorrow. Might have my chippy early and not leave it to chance!"

Here are a few more of the celebrity tweets.
