Medal of Honor: Warfighter is developer EA and Danger Close's one shot at undermining Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.; however, it doesn't seem this plan is working out to well due to the reviews that have been trickling in. With Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 and Halo 4 looming, Medal of Honor had a hard time finding its place, and now it is even worse.

The multiplayer aspect of Medal of Honor: Warfighter is excellent; however, the general consensus is painting a bad picture when it comes down to the single player section of the game. Since the title is based on real life happenings, many gamers were expecting a solid campaign, but in the end Medal of Honor: Warfighter turns out only to be a game that pushes focus towards Battlefield 4.

Here's what the experts are saying.

Kotaku - Kirk Hamilton: "Medal of Honor Warfighter has the dubious distinction of being the Ultimate Brown Military Shooter Of All Time. It's so brazenly unremarkable, its storytelling so amateurish, its action so rote, that it feels like a master class in middling modern warfare. Put another way: I've been playing the game for hour upon hour and the nicest thing I can say about it is that the flashlights look pretty good."

Joystiq - David Hinkle: "There are some worthwhile components in Medal of Honor: Warfighter, but it feels cobbled together, a design-by-committee approximation of "AAA military shooter." The concept behind Warfighter is sound - particularly its attempt to personalize the internal conflict of a soldier - but the execution leaves a lot to be desired."

IGN - Mitch Dyer: "Gorgeous visuals and high production values can only carry a poor experience so far. Expect to spend a lot of time waiting, watching, and wondering why you're bothering to play at all during Medal of Honor Warfighter's disappointing, confusing campaign."

Eurogamer - Dan Whitehead: "A game with no identity of its own, unable to step out from the shadow of its genre rivals: the gaping chasm between Warfighter's Nietzschean obsession with supermen warriors and the creaking game design that contains them proves impossible to bridge."

To surmise, Medal of Honor: Warfighter is a game with a lot of promise, it is unfortunate all the innovative additions the title brings to multiplayer gaming has been overshadowed by a terrible campaign that cannot be fixed with a simple patch update.
