Before you know it, the Christmas holidays will be upon us like a thief in the night, and many gamers will be out seeking an Xbox 360 Holiday Bundle for either themselves, or a precious loved one.

Microsoft is not resting on its laurels this holiday season. It can't afford to, with Nintendo kicking off the next generation fireworks, and Sony with its new Super Slim PlayStation 3 console. To compete more effectively, Microsoft chose to slash the price of the Xbox 360 holiday bundles by $50. And though tech pundits believe that it won't result in massive sales, yet it should be what the Xbox 360 needs to stay ahead of the competition and keep its status as the number one selling console in the United States, and the world.

There are quite a few Xbox 360 holiday bundles to choose from; each will set you back around $250, except for one, which will cost you $350. Each Xbox 360 bundle is packaged differently; one might have a system along with a few games, while the other might have a system, games, and a Kinect motion sensor unit.

The version that costs $350 is packaged with an Xbox 360, Kinect, and two Kinect-based titles for you and your family to enjoy during the holidays when you all are tired of drinking hot cocoa.

What's good is that one of these bundle is coming with a digital version of Skyrim, which is arguably one of the most overrated video games ever conceived. However, due to the title's popularity among gamers, it is understandable why it has made the list.

Non-digital games that can be had are as follows:

  • Forza 4
  • Kinect Adventures
  • Kinect: Disneyland Adventures
  • Fable 3
  • Halo: Reach

It's a very good list right there, and even the Kinect games are worth trying. If you have a Kinect motion sensor already, you might have an idea of how fun these Xbox 360 games are.

The Xbox 360 holiday bundle can be picked up at GameStop, Best Buy, Kmart, Target and Amazon.
