‘Tarisland’ Review: Vibrant Graphics and Diverse Classes Shine, but Combat and Story Fall Flat

The game, or to be precise the mobile MMORPG that many have been eagerly waiting for has finally arrived. "Tarisland" - the game with mechanics many of us have seen in many other games but with extremely cartoonish graphics. Being still quite large with a super admirably diverse array of classes and an appealing world, "Tarisland" has its flaws and fails to excel in some areas that are rather important.

Vivid World and Engaging Classes

Upon launching "Tarisland", players are greeted with a choice of diverse character classes. The game includes familiar classes like Warrior, Mage, and Paladin, whereas other classes are Bard, Phantom Necro, Shadow Swordsman, etc.

Every class also has certain characteristics, such as Tank, Healer, Melee, and Ranged to allow players to choose which one they prefer. The class selection process is straightforward, with clear statistics on Group Importance and Maneuverability, aiding players in making informed decisions.

Cartoonish Charm and Intuitive Controls

As for graphics and setting, "Tarisland" brings the players back to the familiar genre of the game, which is World of Warcraft-like. The game has a talented graphics department and features bright cartoon graphics which immediately pull the players into the game's universe. Cutscenes are amazing and enhance the overall presentation because the game is visually pleasing to look at.

Navigating this world is made easy with intuitive controls. Combat abilities are conveniently displayed, and the game features a virtual joystick for movement and camera control. An auto-run function allows players to focus more on their destination, enhancing the overall gameplay experience.

Standard Combat, Missing the Spark

Combat in "Tarisland" sticks closely to the traditional real-time mechanics familiar to MMORPG enthusiasts. Players target enemies, execute attacks, and wait for cooldowns. While this system is functional, it lacks the excitement and innovation that might set it apart from other games in the genre.

Battles, especially during solo quests, can feel lackluster despite the array of abilities and smooth controls. Dungeon exploration offers a more collaborative experience, with players teaming up to tackle formidable bosses, but the combat still doesn't quite ignite the thrill expected from multiplayer engagements.

Unremarkable NPCs and Storyline

While the environments of "Tarisland" are charming, the NPCs populating this world fail to leave a lasting impression. Visually appealing but otherwise unremarkable, these characters do little to elevate the game's narrative. Similarly, the storyline provides a standard backdrop to the gameplay but lacks the depth and memorability that could make it truly compelling.

A Solid, Yet Familiar Experience

"Tarisland" delivers a solid MMORPG experience with its appealing graphics, diverse classes, and intuitive controls. However, the uninspired combat and forgettable NPCs hold it back from achieving greatness. For players seeking a reliable and visually charming MMORPG on mobile, "Tarisland" is a worthy contender. Yet, those looking for innovation or a deeply engaging story may find it lacking.

"Tarisland" joins a crowded field of mobile MMORPGs, offering a mix of old and new elements. While it may not revolutionize the genre, its familiar charm and solid mechanics ensure it has a place in the hearts of many players.
