Consumers have known of Nokia's Lumia 920 and 820 smartphones for over a month, though it was not known when the phones would release. AT&T said the phone would hit its shelves this November. However, is this the phone consumers have already seen?

AT&T confirmed Oct. 4 the phone is exclusive for its customers, and launches on "the nation's' largest 4G network." The Verge tested AT&T's Lumia 920 and said the colors resemble Lumia 900, calling cyan "striking." The color was teased in a Nokia video highlighting a Red Bull app for Windows Phone.

Regarding new features, Lumia 920 and 820 are identical to the models announced, and that's not surprising. Lumia 920 includes an 8-megapixel camera with 1080p video recording, and a 720p-supporting front camera. AT&T also mentioned in a press release the 4.5-inch screen, wireless charging, and the augmented reality Nokia City Lens.

A&T confirmed Nokia Lumia 820, the mid-range Windows Phone 8 smartphone, is also exclusive. It features a 4.3-inch screen, 8GB of storage (expandable through microSD), a 1.5GHz Snapdragon dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, and an 8-megapixel rear camera with 1080p video recording.

AT&T confirmed it will offer HTC's 8X smartphone, a flagship device for Windows Phone 8. The "flagship" word was confusing as HTC said it was the flagship manufacturer for Windows Phone 8. Nokia echoed the same message. HTC's devices will also launch in November, though no specific date is available. Prices leaked though for unsubsidized models for HTC's 8X and 8S.

Whether Microsoft will reveal new devices at the Windows Phone 8 launch event remains to be seen. The rumors of the company building its own devices are seemingly refuted, for now.

Lumia 920 will be in available red, blue, white, and black, and the new cyan color, while Lumia 820 comes in black. AT&T confirmed the phones for November, but did not specify the exact date.

Windows Phone 8's release date is confirmed as Oct. 29, Microsoft announced Oct. 4.
