Gadget freaks that have restlessly been waiting for the arrival of the Surface Pro 4 successor; brace yourselves! It looks like Microsoft Surface Pro 5 release date is anything but around the corner; however, on the brighter side, there's also hearsay that the wait will be worth it.
Microsoft's current generation Surface Pro 4 devices are up for grabs at discounted prices, and as Express reports, this kind of sale usually hints at the coming of new items. In other words, Microsoft could be setting the stage for the arrival of the long-rumored Surface Pro 5.
Microsoft Surface Pro 5 Release Date
While these recently surfaced rumors hint at an impending launch of Microsoft's tablet convertible, a slew of other reports suggest the Surface Pro 5 might not hit the store shelves in near future. Multiple sources claim the device could make an appearance alongside the Windows 10 Creators Update, which rolls out this April.
But much to the dismay of those hoping to get their hands on the Surface Pro 5 sooner rather than later, PC World claims it might take a really long time for Microsoft to release the Windows 10 Creators Update. The rumor stems from data discovered by AdDuplex, a cross-promotion network. It's worth noting that the aforesaid data is based on the release pattern of the Windows 10 Anniversary Update.
According to AdDuplex, it took a couple of months until a third Microsoft user base could move to Anniversary Update. Four months after the migration, a meager 80 percent of the company's user base shifted.
The sluggish roll out could be attributed to the servers inability to handle the pressure. That being said, if Microsoft sticks to its rollout pattern, the Creators Update is highly unlikely to arrive anytime soon, meaning the Surface Pro 5, which will be reportedly running on it will not launch in near future.
Microsoft Surface Pro 5: Good Things Take Time
Tech enthusiasts should not lose hopes amidst reports hinting at the delayed launch of the Surface Pro 5 just yet. A recently released trailer from "Alien: Covenant," teased an AMD Ryzen-powered version of the Surface Pro 5.
It's no secret that the comparatively cheaper AMD Ryzen chip has outperformed Intel's Kaby Lake processors. AMD has stirred things up in the computing world becoming the processor of choice for Walter (Michael Fassbender) in the trailer (watch below). Packed with AMD's powerful chip, the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will be nothing short of an awe-inspiring gadget every tech buff would want to get their hands on.
The trailer shows scientists using what looks like a thinner version of the Surface Pro tablet before inserting an AMD chip into the android's head.
