Microsoft Surface Pro 5 has been subject to all sorts of rumors and leaks. While some shreds of leaked information about the upcoming 2-in-1 detachable managed to sweep tech enthusiasts off their feet, a slew of other revelations failed to amuse the huge Surface Pro fanbase, although none of the rumored details have been officially confirmed yet.

The latest buzz around Microsoft's Surface Pro line of hybrid tablets suggests that the Surface Pro 5 will support HoloLens. However, multiple sources consider the inclusion of HoloLens in the upcoming device highly unlikely.

Microsoft Surface Pro 5 Release Date & Other Details

Microsoft has reportedly been delaying the launch of the Surface Pro 5 until the next major Windows 10 Creators Update dubbed, Redstone 2 rolls out. There's also hearsay that Intel's latest Kaby Lake processor will be firing up the Surface Pro 5, which is expected to feature a rechargeable Surface Pen, longer battery life, and a new keyboard.

Previously surfaced reports have also hinted at the addition of 4K Resolution, but this has been deemed next to impossible by many. The 4K screen on a device sporting 12-inch display demands additional battery life and that is something the Redmond-based tech titan must overcome. It's worth noting that the Surface Pro 4 already boasts 2736 x 1824 pixel resolution display, and a pixel density of 267 PPI (pixel per inch).

Moreover, if rumors running rampant online proved to be true, Microsoft might resort to including Cannonlake processors in the Surface Pro 5. Cannonlake will follow after Kaby Lake using 10nm architecture, but according to a report from KnowYourMobile, it will remain under wraps until the second half of 2017. In other words, if Microsoft announces the Surface Pro 5 before that, it will almost certainly come with Intel's Kaby Lake processors.

While Microsoft continues to refrain from divulging any sort of details about the matter, a report from iSports suggests the tech firm will introduce a couple of variants of the Surface Pro 5 -- the AMD-based and Intel-based versions, to be precise. Some tech gurus claim that the new gadget will pack the Qualcomm Snapdragon 635 processor rather than Intel's Kaby Lake chip.

Gadget freaks that have restlessly been waiting for the launch of the Surface Pro 5 will be able to get their hands on the highly anticipated hybrid tablet either in March or April. Microsoft has neither confirmed nor denied these speculations.
