The Snapdragon 835 will feature an octa-core CPU, four more than its predecessor. It consists of Qualcomm's Kyro 280 cores which will be arranged in two clusters, one of which will be clocked at 2.5GHz, while the other at 1.9GHz. The Exynos 8895 will also feature an octa-core design. It consists of four next-gen Mongoose and four Cortex A53 cores, which are clocked at 2.5GHz and 1.7GHz.
In terms of GPU, the Snapdragon 835 will feature Qualcomm's Adreno 540 with added improvements such as support for 64x more colors. Meanwhile, the Exynos will feature a Mali G71 GPU, which includes support for 4k recording or playback at 120fps.
The Snapdragon 835 will support one sensor with 32MP resolution or two sensors of 16MP resolutions each. On the other hand, the Exynos will support 28MP camera sensors. Both processors will feature HSA or Heterogeneous System Architecture, which combines CPU, GPU and DSP to achieve maximum performance at a minimum power.
Both processors will feature Cat 16 LTE enabled modems, which theoretically means they are capable of 1Gbps downloads and 150Mbps of uploads. The Snapdragon 835 supports WiFi 802.11 ad, while the Exynos will support WiFi 802.11 ac, a slight edge for the Snapdragon, as per WCCFtech report.
