Sony typically reveals their free games line-up under the PlayStation Plus program on the first Tuesday of the new month. While some are hoping for an announcement as early as February 28 -- which is the last day of February and incidentally falls on a Tuesday -- it seems more likely the games will go up March 7. With more than two weeks to wait, people have already begun placing predications for the free games under PlayStation Plus March 2017.
PlayStation Plus March 2017 Free Games Line-Up to be Announced March 7
With roughly a week to go before February ends, Express UK posits that Sony could announce their PS Plus March line-up within the next few days. However, they also mention that a March 7 announcement is just as likely. Considering the fact that Sony revealed their February free games line-up a little later than usual, we're inclined to agree with a week-late announcement date.
Sony is known for revealing the free games on the first Tuesday of the respective month. While February 28 technically fits the criteria and is the last day of February this year, there's no solid proof to hang hope on. It'll be a pleasant surprise, of course, if the games do get revealed a week earlier than expected, but we'll just have to wait and see.
PlayStation Plus March 2017 Predictions
PlayStation Universe has submitted their top five predictions for the month of March. Other websites have put forth guesses as well. Some surprising titles like "Mass Effect Trilogy" (to celebrate "Mass Effect: Andromeda" launching next month) and "Gravity Rush Remastered" have been named. As far as AAA titles are concerned, Sony usually releases games from indie developers, so it's best to take guesses such as these with a grain of salt.
Supermassive Games' "Until Dawn" was also suggested, given that it was part of the free games in February's PlayStation Plus line-up for Asia. Other titles mentioned by PSU for PlayStation Plus March free games are "Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor" and "Killzone: Shadow Fall." The argument for "Killzone" is that it's long been rumored to feature on PlayStation Plus, given that it's one of PS4's flagship franchises.
