Thanks to a small day one patch, "Horizon Zero Dawn" is going to look even better. It has been revealed that the 250MB day on "Horizon Zero Dawn" update will include a new PS4 Pro Performance mode supporting frame-rate.

What The Day-One Patch Provides

The game is a PlayStation 4 exclusive that has been tailored for the PS4 Pro. While it already looks good on both the PS4 and the Pro, it seems players are in for a day one patch that targets to gear things up even more.

"'Horizon Zero Dawn' will receive a small day zero patch that will build upon PS4 Pro support, adding a Performance mode that will favor smoother framerates while delivering higher visual fidelity in the 1080p mode. This mode is available for both 1080p and 4K displays," says thuway, a NeoGAF user. Players can select resolution and HDR/SDR preferences in "Horizon Zero Dawn" by opening up the menu and going to Settings > Visual.

The RPG's Fantastic Graphics

With this day one patch, "Horizon Zero Dawn's" lead female character, Aloy, can be played in a truly clear view as she hunts down Bandits, Tramplers and other creatures. Gamers can get the best vantage view how she will dominate creatures to ride them and get them fighting on her side. She also gets a look at some of the gadgets available that will permit her to strategize every hunt. Since she uses the environment to her gain, jumping off the side of cliffs to execute kills from above, an enhanced graphics would truly work to the gamers' advantage.

PlayStation Universe reports that critic reviews have been mostly positive, with PlayStation Universe scoring the game 9.5 out of 10 and describing Guerrilla Games' action RPG as "one of the best games on PS4." "Horizon Zero Dawn" is out for the PS4 and PS4 Pro on February 28 in North America and March 1 in Europe.
