"Musou Stars" producer Masaki Furusawa appeared on a Koei Tecmo Games streamed special program for its PlayStation 4 game and announced that "Nioh's" protagonist William Adams will be playable in the cross over game. Furusawa also shared the gameplay footage and information on the game.
Despite no further details was shared on the newcomer, gamers can anticipate to see a gameplay trailer introducing William, the "Western Samurai," sometime soon for "Musou Stars."
"Musou Stars" Gameplay & Characters
According to Anime News Network, the game is a crossover between Koei Tecmo Games' various titles, and features the hack-and-slash gameplay of the Musou (Warriors) series, seen in such games as Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors. First editions of the game will have Opoona as an unlocked playable character from the very beginning, and will have a download code for a Kasumi costume for Wang Yuanji. The game also has a limited "Treasure Box" edition that features a visual book, a three-disc original soundtrack, a postcard calendar, a reversible poster, and the game.
Gematsu reports, William Adams is the 30th playable character to be introduced in the cross over game. The roster includes Ryu Hayabusa of " Ninja Garden," Sophie of "Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book," Zhao Yun from "Dynasty Warriors," Yukimura Sanada from "Samurai Warriors," and Kasumi from "Dead or Alive," to name a few.
"Musou Stars" Price & Availability
The limited edition retails for about $112 for the PS4 version, and $103 for the PS Vita version. The regular game retails for $68 for the PS4 version and $60 for the PS Vita version. "Musou Stars" is due ship for PlayStation 4 and PS Vita on March 30 in Japan after a delay.
