The American live-action movie of the legendary manga series "Death Note" is coming up on Netflix. So, it is prudent that we update the manga and anime fans of the series about the chosen cast members for the movie.

It has been a while since the US adaptation for the "Death Note" 2017 live-action movie is under development. For the ones who do not know, there are already three live-action films developed before this one. Warner Bros. Japanese studio along with Netflix are looking forward to bring up their own adaptation of the manga series. Adam Wingard, who is directing the film, noted that the film is in its final stages of editing and could release sometime in 2018.

By the looks of it, "Death Note" 2017 live-action movie for Netflix will not be completely the same when it comes to character names and plot. However, the overall film will still remain faithful to the anime and manga series. Looking forward at the cast members, we have Nat Wolff from the movie "The Fault in Our Stars" to portray the lead role of Light Turner who finds the Death Note and eventually becomes Kira.

Willem Dafoe has also been included in the cast of "Death Note" 2017 live-action movie and will be serving as Ryuk the shinigami's voice, who is the owner of the "Death Note" book. In addition, Margaret Qualley from "The Leftovers" will portray Mia Sutton who is a supermodel and possesses a "Death Note" book and shinigami known as Rem as well. The fan-favorite character L will be played by Keith Stanfield from "Straight Outta Compton." L is accompanied by his assistant and guardian Watari who will be portrayed by Paul Nakauchi who is known for a number of voice-acting appearances in video games, etc. Another character from the main cast is police officer Shea Whigham who will play the role of James Turner, Light's father.

Additional information regarding the "Death Note" 2017 live-action movie cast members is that Masi Oka, who is the producer of the film, will also play a role in the film. However, his role is still unknown to us. Let's hope the upcoming movie maintains the legacy of the animated and manga series.
