There are many ways to earn steel in "For Honor." However, a player recently announced to have discovered a steel glitch that could possibly yield unlimited steel.
In "For Honor," steel is a valuable resource that you will use to unlock different aspects of the game, like new Heroes or new Feasts, character outfits and experience boosters among others. Fortunately, here is a guide that you can use to earn steel in many different ways.
Steel can be earned from almost everything you tinker with in "For Honor." Every multiplayer match will give you a small portion of steel, as well as experience. When you are on the multiplayer World Map, hit the L1 button or Left Bumper to bring up the orders menu. From there, you will find a list of Daily Orders and Contract Orders.
Daily Orders change every day and, on each order, you will see the corresponding requirements. You can assign Contract Orders to yourself from a list. Once you complete any order, it will give you the listed reward, which features a hefty amount of Steel.
You can also find a small amount of the resource in the "For Honor" Story Mode. Watch out for fragile objects, which will periodically appear in a form of pots outline with white around them. Once you smash these, you will find a reward, which could be Steel, or new emblem materials among others, says Twinfinite. If you keep on playing "For Honor" and checking out the Daily Orders and you will soon start accumulating more steel.
Meanwhile, one player has claimed to have discovered a way to get unlimited steel with a strange trick. First, you need to start a duel versus an AI opponent and make sure you win. When the victory screen begins to transition towards the rewards screen, disconnect from the Internet quickly. You will then get an error message because the game needs an Internet connection to work. Reconnect after you get the error message and start another duel with the same settings.
