"The Big Bang Theory" Season 11 may actually come to fruition. A lot of viewers have been very sad lately as no announcements on the renewal of the comedy show has been announced by CBS for the past months. However, during a CBS presser on Q4 earnings of the network last Wednesday, CEO Leslie Moonves confirmed that they are nearing a decision to renew the said show.

"The Big Bang Theory" Season 11 will be one heck of a season, in case. Fortunately, it will not be the end of things as CBS is saying they will be renewing the show for two more seasons. Moonves announced: "We have established the number one drama, "NCIS," we have established "The Big Bang Theory" as the number one comedy. And so we are very close to renewing it for another year... and another one after that. For the record, negotiations are being done but no details about these contract agreements were discussed during the hour-long call with the investors.

This is not the first time that CBS execs have revealed that the deal is getting closed as soon as possible. Last January, CBS Entertainment President had told several media outlets that contracts were not yet finalized but are in the works. That time, he said that contracts are in negotiation but it is tough. CBS is very optimistic about the continuation of the show, however. August 2016 Television Critics Association Press Tour also saw Gellar saying there would be more of the show next year, as they want it past the tenth year since Warner Bros. also want such deals.

In 2014, Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki all negotiated $1 million per episode while other stars asked for the increase as well. According to reports, however, all the lead stars including Kunal Nayaar and Simon Helberg have been getting $1 million per episode checks. The last time CBS renewed the show, it was picked up for three seasons at once. Now, it seems like they are trying to go for a bundle of twos seasons. The series have garnered $1 billion for Warner Bros. Television in syndication.

"The Big Bang Theory" Season 11 and Season 12 will be coming at a time when CBS and Warner Brothers TV are establishing a prequel of the show, entitled, "Sheldon." The said show will be tackling Jim Parsons' Sheldon Cooper character's childhood. Galecki had also signed for a new comedy show, "Living Biblically."
