"The Big Bang Theory" star Jim Parsons, already know who will play the young Sheldon in the "TBBT" spinoff based on his character's childhood days. This has been confirmed by the comedian himself in an interview with ET.
There are still no details about "The Big Bang Theory" extension talks that are currently underway. Though both the sides have already expressed optimism about adding another season or seasons, there is nothing official yet at this moment.
Though "TBBT" season 11 is still in doubt, fans of the show are assured to see more of Sheldon. A character spinoff based on the life of the genius physicist is currently being developed.
Jim Parsons talked about the upcoming "The Big Bang Theory" Sheldon spinoff in an interview with ET's Nancy O'Dell. The interview took place during the recently concluded 2017 Screen Actors Guild Awards.
During the interview, Parsons revealed that they had to review so many tapes and a number of kids also went for casting interviews. He said that casting who will play the young Sheldon was overwhelming. Parsons also revealed in the interview that he already knows who will be playing the young Sheldon in the spinoff. He described the little guy set to play the young Dr. Cooper as really special.
Parsons remained tightlipped about the identity of the young actor. He also said that they, referring to the show's producers, are supposed to release the news.
CBS and "The Big Bang Theory" producers are yet to release and details about the actors who will be involved on the Sheldon spinoff. Parsons also revealed that Chuck Lorre and Steve Molaro, executive producers of "TBBT", seek for his opinion during the casting process.
Parsons stated that he wants whoever is paying the young Sheldon to do his own take with the character. He also expressed his excitement about the "The Big Bang Theory" spinoff.
