Situated far to the northwest of Pelican Town, the Calico Desert is a place where players are likely to come across the Skull Cavern, where they can acquire lots of Iridium Ores, which is deemed as the most valuable metal in "Stardew Valley."

In addition to the newfangled scenery and a short getaway from the town, Calico Desert hides quite a few secrets and comprise the Sandfish, which is vital for the Specialty Fish Bundle. Let's take a look at how to unlock Calico Desert:

Calico Desert: How To Unlock

Before gaining access to Calico Desert, it is imperative for you to fix the Bus first. The Bus can be found at the Bus Stop and the first area you arrive in the game.

There are a couple of ways to repair the bus. You can let either the Juminos or the Joja Community Development repair them both; however, this comprises a whole slew of Gold, making it quite difficult to unlock Calico Desert straight away, iTechPost reported.

You need to complete the Vault bundles which are situated in the Community Center before repairing the bus. Here, you will find the big safe at the upper right corner according to StarDew Valley Wiki. In order to unlock the Vault bundles, you simply need to do the first bundles in the Crafts room, which can be found at the lower left corner of the Community Center.

It's worth noting that every bundle in the Vault room will be available mainly for 2,500, 5,000, 10,000 and 25,000 Gold. Now, go to sleep once you complete this Vault. While you sleep, a cutscene will popup showing Juminos repairing the bus. If you have already paid for a Joja membership, you simply need to go directly to Morris in Joja Mart and they will give the bus a much-needed face-lift but you need to shell out 40,000 Gold.
