"NCIS: New Orleans" crossover episode with the original "NCIS" series really interested a lot of viewers. But in the middle of things, Grammy Awards 2017 winner Maren Morris made her TV series debut in the episode. The budding country star, who was fresh from her Grammy win, booked a show in the Big Easy to make an appearance in the crossover episode.
"NCIS: New Orleans" crossover episode featured Maren Morris singing her hit, "My Church" in a scene at the hotel bar when NCIS teams are working to find a suspected terrorist. On the Tuesday episode of the show, Maren Morris was clearly enjoying the performance in "NCIS." She even sent out tweets of love and gratefulness the entire night when she appeared in the show. Some of her tweets were: "I [heart] Beer." and "Also, I'm drunk."
On Rolling Stone, it was noted that Maren Morris also posted on Twitter how she shouldn't be drinking and tweeting it but she will anyways with all her happiness. Morris' appearance in the show marks the "NCIS" - "NCIS: New Orleans" crossover event which happens every season. The episode was just a normal crossover event with original casts of the "NCIS" series, McGee, played by Sean Murray and Torres, played by Wilmer Valderrama, involved in an investigation in New Orleans.
They then headed there to work with the "NCIS: New Orleans" team to prevent a terrorist attack from happening. They succeeded the operations and at the end of the episode, Gibbs, played by Mark Harmon and Pride, played by Scott Bakula, hinted that there might be another crossover episode coming this season.
In the last scene, the two were seen talking to each other on the phone and Gibbs was caught saying: "Next time that there's another party, I might just shock you, I'll appear there, Dwayne." Pride then responded, saying: "This is New Orleans, bro. Party anytime, there's always one going on."
