The fate of "Blindspot" Season 2 is up in the air, as the show has not yet been given an official renewal order for Season 3. TVLine noted on the show's points for renewal and its points for cancellation.

"Blindspot" Season 2 has been offering some revelations about the story of Jane Doe (Jaimie Alexander) before she became an FBI agent. However, not much is known about her entire past, which makes it a strong case for a third season.

What may keep NBC from renewing "Blindspot" for Season 3, however, is the fact that its ratings have not been as high as when it first premiered on TV. According to the publication, the show is averaging 1.1 in the 18-49 demographics, which is 40 percent lower than the first season.

Viewers will definitely have something to look forward to should "Blindspot" Season 3 happen on NBC. In an interview with ET, Michelle Hurd teased that there will be a "deadly reunion" between Shepherd, Jane and Roman.

Hurd admitted that she has no idea when will this reunion take place in "Blindspot," but this has been one of the most highly anticipated scenes in the show. The actress explained that Shepherd has already come to terms with the fact that Jane is with the FBI, but she believes that Roman can still return to her.

"When they do come together, it'll be a mammoth fight to the edge of death," she teased.
