With the end of the high-stress medical drama "Code Black" season 2 finale, we are left with an uncertainty for a next instalment in the series. Many fans would like to know whether a "Code Black" season 3 is going to happen or not. The anxiety rose due to the average ratings of the second season which make CBS unsure whether to renew the show for another season or not.

'Code Black' Season 3 Speculations

When all seemed distressful, rumors emerged speculating fans about "Code Black" season 3. The theory rose due to an apparent hint was given at the end of the second season's finale episode which gives us a possibility of a new season. The two-part finale episode of "Code Black" season 2 showed us how the doctors at Angel's Memorial tried to find a vaccine for the viral outbreak at the medical center.

It seems like they are able to find a vaccine but testing it was not an easy task. So, Dr. Leanne volunteers to become a test subject for finding the cure. However, we are left with a cliffhanger showing her coughing blood after taking the vaccination. Her death was not shown, instead we see that every rejoices in a way as if the outbreak is controlled. "Code Black" season 2 finale didn't reveal of how the show ended for each of the main characters on the whole which hints of a possible season 3 in the future.

Now what we are looking forward to is whether CBS is planning on introducing to the next installment or not. The show cannot leave fans with a cliffhanger which hints for the show to come back for season 3. If "Code Black" season 3 happens, there are also chances of a set of new characters in the show. Apparently, we have to wait for an official announcement concluding the fate of this show.
