"Scorpion" is one heck of a show that does tremendous greatness! One thing to be applauded with the series is their ability to keep interest in an episode that may not actually hit the heartstrings of their viewers. Pretty much like what they will be doing for the next episode - they will be playing around the concept of chess. Playing chess is one thing but enjoying it while watching TV? Unimaginable.
"Scorpion" Season 3 Episode 16 preview tells us that Walter and Sylvester can make it a lot more fun. Watching them play chess and talking trash to each other can really make one upbeat. In the episode on Monday, titled "Keep it in check, mate!," it is clear that the two characters are figuring out the best way to extract the #1 chess player in the world in the middle of his tournament, without the bad guys finding out. This is certainly a challenging task for them, especially because both Walter and Sylvester are brilliant chess players who furthered in the competition and ended up playing against each other. Hilarious, isn't it?
What is even more hilarious is the car chase that ensues involving horse statues (chess knights go big!) flying all over the place. The series wanted to go big so they brought these concepts to life. In the previous "Scorpion" episode, they referenced it to "Jaws" - the great ocean-survival movie. It seems like all the episodes are parodied from very popular references as it is expected that the next episode will be "A Bourne Identity" and "Heist" in one episode. Expect Walter O'Brien turning from a chess player to a James Bond in a snap and many "Scorpion" fans would love to see that.
Whether this would click and would be one of the most remembered episodes of the season, we will find that out on the next episode. Check out the "Scorpion" Season 3 Episode 16 trailer released by CBS below:
