"Ransom" has a very promising storyline but CBS needs to transform needs to create more buzz in order for it to become successful. And this week's episode of the show might actually be the biggest thing that is yet to come in the series. The show revolves around the story of Luke Roberts' character, Eric, finding ways to help people out of binds from the outside looking in. Unfortunately, there are things which make a whole lot of difference which fans and watchers of the show will be able to see in the next episode.
"Ransom" Episode 7 entitled "Regeneration" will most likely feature a scenario ala "Doctor Who." Even if it is not, one can distinguish the similarities of its reference to the show. For this episode, CarterMatt reports that Eric will be operating from within in order to know the status of a hostage situation. He does this to be able to save and secure himself and the people surrounding him.
On the other hand, Maxine will be obliged to take charge and shakes up a familiar dynamic, which is kind of a good timing for it to happen right now. This may actually interest more viewers as a constant shake up will never leave anyone feeling like the show is redundant and dragging.
"Ransom" Episode 7 synopsis reads: "When Eric and other guests attend a yearly retreat, a hostage crisis takes place. The fanatical leader of a militia group is responsible for it. Maxine leads her team in her initial negotiation while Eric tries to save the lives of the people inside."
Not much information is available as of this moment, but from what the synopsis is saying, it seems like there will be high risks at stake and Eric and Maxine will be ready for anything if they surpass this predicament.
On other news, the show has remained consistent with 0.4 rating for the 18-49 demographic for its episode last week. This the same figures as the previous week, which is at around 3.3M. On its renewal, while a lot of people like the show, it lands on a very challenging timeslot. If it lands a slot in a streaming service for Season 2, it would be a lot beneficial for the show. But for now, CBS may not be so sure of what to do with the show.
